My wife and I lived her for just over 2 years. We are by no means rich so we chose this apt based solely on price (705 1st year, 740 2nd year free heat and water). Pros: Cheaper than Lakeside and other close apts, free heat and water, cheap security deposit ($300 and got it all back). Never had problems w/ parking. In the months before we moved out, they started installing all new fire alarms and painting the place, which is nice. We didn't have any real bad experiences with maintenance or the staff at all. Whenever I went in with an issue, it was resolved within 2 days. Close to 2 parks which we walked through every day with our dog, also close to several fast food and sit down restaurants. Cons: somewhat small (650 sq ft) thin walls (seems like every apt has complaints of this), pool is small, gross, and sort of awkward with a 16 year old lifeguard watching you at all times, no real landscaping and groundskeeping. Also, the laundry rooms and storage units are a joke. Go to a laundromat, its easier. Some shady stuff seems like it goes down some nights too, cop cars every now and then. One negative about the first floor is that the bedrooms face the parking lot and our neighbors always seemed to like to sit in their cars with their lights on. If you chose here, I still think you should try and get a 1st floor unit. Having the bigger patio and being able to entertain is totally worth it still.
