Resident 2011 - 2013

8/25/2014

I was overall happy with my experience living at Campus Pointe. Yeah the apartment was small, but I have definitely lived in smaller. The apartment I had was all-inclusive, meaning that utilities are included in the monthly rent. These apartments are rather expensive, especially for how small it was, but I have to say that not dealing with paying any electric, gas, water, cable, or internet bills was really nice. The leasing office staff is suuuper helpful & friendly. They even have free breakfast in the office sometimes for you to stop by & grab before class. Campus Pointe/Campus Manor tries really hard to provide their tenants with extra activities & fun stuff. They do a lot of little contests where you can win money off your rent for a month or a gift card for somewhere in town. They just do a really awesome job making you feel, despite the huge amount of tenants they have between the 2 complexes, that its important to them that you are happy with where you live. I know they really use all their amenities to suck you in, but seriously. They are kinda awesome. Free tanning, a really nice pool, 24 hour fitness center....I really miss having all that extra stuff! The only complaint I really had there was noise. Frequently had to hear people blasting music & could hear when neighbors were talking. But that is kind of expected at a college apartment complex =/ Also, the building I was in used to be 2 bedroom apts that they converted into 1 bedroom apts & in doing that, they basically just built 4 walls around the thermostat. So neither you nor the person on the other side of you have control over the air or heat; you have to call the leasing office/maintenance & tell them to change anything. And on the 3rd floor, it got pretty hot pretty early in the spring. I asked them to turn the A/C a little colder & they told me they wouldn't go any lower than what it was at (which was still uncomfortably warm). I don't know if all the 1 bedrooms are like that, but I would ask before signing the lease, cause you might not be able to change the temp in your apt. And the internet was rather slow. It went out more frequently than internet I've had anywhere else too. Which is frustrating.
