Resident 2007 - 2014

4/15/2014

I do not recommend living here. The walls are paper thin, the neighbor's are rude, loud and obnoxious. Bedbug's and roaches run rampant. Enjoy the pest control guys bothering you all the time. The dog they brought in to sniff my apartment for bedbugs pooped twice in my apartment. The guys were not even going to pick it up, until I said something. They are completely rude at the office and treat you like a twit. Parking is impossible. My car was vandalized multiple times. Lighting at night is often a issue, so is snow removal. I fell down many times on their sidewalks and pavement because of ice. The garbage is constantly teaming over the rim. Thumping bass, destructive kids, loud fighting, pest problems, an odiferous stench of pot in the halls, and cops showing up once or twice a month, is something you have to look forward too. All for the low, low price of your sanity. The neighbor's are crazy and inconsiderate, caring or respecting of nothing. The fire doors are often blocked with snow or ice, often a week or two before cleared. (If at all) Maintenance is very slow to respond and tend to do things inefficiently. Fire extinguishers are often outdated or not replaced. People touch your clothing in the washer's and dryers, checking for change, stealing your time, or moving them. People also like to keep their clothes in the washer and dryers for long periods of time. (Hours) When I first moved in, it was promised and advertised that I would have a pool and front lock entryway. They showed me one of the only front locking entryways, not making it clear that all the other's were broken. The pool was disgusting and 99 percent of the doors locking mechanisms were broke. But, the buzzer's still work, so you have that to look forward as well. Kids and annoying neighbor's love to press the buzzer's all hours of the day and night. People love to speed through the complex, when kids are at play or people are walking their dogs. You have new neighbor's all the time, because the have such a high turnover rate. My carpet was over ten years old, more like fifteen. I live there eight years. I was forced to pay two deposits one for my cats and the other for my dog. My carpet was tore up when I moved in, stained and damaged. How many people did they charge to replace that carpet, but never did? It is funny that the damage summed up to exactly the amount of my two damage deposits. They shut the water off multiple times without ANY notice at all. Many of the pest control or inspection notices were put on my door well after the 24 hour mark. One time they put the notice on my door THAT DAY. I often had to keep jugs of water handy just in case. Transformer's blew out often, leaving me without power for hours. The pop in their pepsi machine is always stale. Please don't waste your time with this place. I wouldn't move back here, even as a last resort. So glad I am rid of this place. Believe me when I say that other people's issues here were many times worse off than mine. Find a better place to reside. The apartments have only went down hill and they are low rent, in more ways than one.
