Resident 2017 - 2018 Not Recommended

Upon moving out we have carried with us bugs to our new home. We had bugs in our apartment two months after we first moved in. When they sprayed for bugs finally after we couldn't take it anymore, the exterminator said they were coming from the nasty apartment above us (which they also went into and sprayed). The awful roaches came back yet again right before we moved out and they got into our moving boxes. So far since moving out we've had to throw away out microwave, toaster, and coffee pot as the kitchen/dining area was infested there. The carpets were very well used, so much so that the padding was coming through clogging out vacuum. The neighbors above us constantly smoked illegal substances and would have members staying there who did not consistently live there. Three months before we were to move out we had water leakage so bad in our hallway from again the neighbors above us. It was over the weekend and no one would come out. Thank God my dad gave us a wood board to walk on so we could get from room to room. The water damage took about 2-3 weeks to finally resolve which ended with them having to go through the ceiling to reach plumbing and tearing up the floor (which they just cleaned and tacked back down-yuck!) Overall it is a nice place to live, our apartment was absolute trash though. The pet policy is great as was the staff. Please please please read your contacts thoroughly as they will try to scam you into living there longer if you don't give them you "move out date". We did not and they thought they could legally make us pay many more months. After having a lawyer involved we obviously were not bound to anything and Cape Cod gave up. I have heard good and bag reviews of this place. Had it not been for the excellent appearance of the outside and amenities, we probably would not have rented here. Pictures are of the water damage and roaches we would find in our FREEZER!!! We had them so bad we would be drinking our coffee and find them in our thermos.
