As several other people already noted, they completely rip you off when you move out. One of the main issues I had while living there was my apartment smelled ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE the entire time i lived there. The first six months I lived there my entire apartment smelled like spices from the other apartments. When you report it, the only thing they do is put a flier under the door saying that the leasing contract states you cannot cook with foul smelling spices. As you can predict, this did absolutely nothing. The last six months i lived there, my apartment smelled like must and mold. I reported it several times, but the only thing maintenance did was first, poor hot water into the vent, i don't know why, and then a few months later they replaced the filter. My apartment still had a gross, musty smell coming through the vents. It smelled like old, rotten eggs. I was gravely concerned that it was either a gas leak or there was actual mold, but Bristol never did comply with getting the apartment tested for mold. I felt ill and sick the last few months i lived there, until i finally moved out. I also know there was a moisture problem because every single wooden door in the apartment swelled up. You could not close the door at all, you could only rest it. This is how i know without a doubt my apartment had moisture/water problems.
After moving out I had to wash ever single article of clothing i owned because it smelled so bad. And no, that is not an exaggeration. I washed clothes for nearly three days. When I emailed them to tell them that I incurred even more expenses than they did, and there is no reason i should have to pay to replace paper thin blinds or "extra" cleaning fees, the response I got was that I had only one maintenance request on file. Which is a lie. There may only be one on file, but I requested more than that.
Also, the construction right outside is a NIGHTMARE. I was confined to my apartment for the last few months I lived there because it took nearly 45 minutes to go a half a mile. Here are some suggestions for better, more affordable places right in the area:
