my boyfriend and i moved here in january 2010, 5 months later we moved out. i have never in my life seen things as ive seen living at briarHOOD for the last 5 months. Kids ( as the officers call them juveniles) run around like they run the place, they write gang signs on the hallwalls of buildings they DO NOT live in, let alone even live in the complex. They are out all hours of the day/night loud as can be, throwing rocks, hitting cars with sticks, climbing on cars, trying to break into the apartments, hanging out in the halls, smoking marijuana in the halls and outside while they hold infant babies etc. I have never been so distrubed in my life and extremely dissapointed in the Normal police department for not doing ONE THING about the crime here. We were on vacation and our cars were keyed, JAIME the MANAGER OF THE PROPERTY could have caredless and did everything she could to make excuses. I would never EVER recommend this place to any person. ived called the police on SEVERAL occasions and they failed to come right away when they could have caught some of these kids doing things they shouldnt, but they are just as careless as this property.
