New Ownership has gone through a learning curve, but has the best interest of the residents at heart. Rent has gone up 2 years in a row due to previous owners policy of not raising rent for current tenants if you signed another 1-year lease. They are trying to level the rent prices out, but raising it an additional $20/month each year is slowly getting us to look elsewhere. This is the first year we didn't have ants invading our house, but it's because I went and got a bottle of expanding foam and filled in huge holes in the exterior of the building around our back door. Instead of installing gardens and playgrounds, owners need to concentrate on fixing rotting siding, moldy and rotting wooden sheds, updating cracked and chipping linoleum floor, and sealing and insulating around doors and windows (the drafts in the winter are unreal unless you put up plastic coverings and have draft stoppers in doors). All that being said, it is a safe apartment complex, and the gorgeous trees and tons of grassy areas make it feel like home. The maintenance staff is superb, and the office staff try hard to make repairs.
