Front door to 5051 doesn't latch and I have a maintenance req that's been in since last feb that has not been completed :( The Internet here is shoddy and you have to go through their provider and cannot choose anything else but CCI, which is absolutely atrocious

    When I first moved in I was extremely excited as the price for the apartments was perfect. Then I moved in and started experiencing Internet issues which was a NIGHTMARE. I was on the phone with CCI (their only Internet service provider) multiple nights each week because of slow speeds/latency issues. This went on for about 10 months and I never received communication about the status of what was happening. It literally took me emailing them everyday with screenshots of my mbps and latency issues for them to realize it was an issue. I spent 40 minutes each night doing troubleshooting with the IT people to no avail. I went through these troubleshooting issues for months (10 to be exact) and calculated that I spent about 3 whole days (72 hours) on the phone with IT. I finally demanded my money back, and after many emails, they refunded me for one month of absolutely atrocious Internet and issues that have been giving me headaches for a while. Eventually, they realized there were too many people on the Internet at the same time and decided to look into the issue. It seems as if they have done a soft fix for now to give the speeds I'm paying for, but has only been working somewhat properly for a week or so. Still looking to see if the issue has been fully resolved, but I'm not holding my breath.

      For the most part, when maintenance needs to get done, the apartment complex is very responsive and are able to fix the problem(s) on the same day. Central air and heat are a fantastic and free hot water is decent. However, the Internet here is atrocious. If you need stable, reliable Internet, do NOT choose Beacon Hills. There is only one place that services out here and it is a janky company that keeps you on the line for 40 minutes as they "troubleshoot" you through the basic steps as they belittle you. I'm on the phone with this Internet company 5-7+ times a month and each time they say they put in a ticket to get the problem resolved, but they never fix it. Especially with the pandemic and everyone needing Internet, they still managed get away with not fixing their issues. I'm very tech savvy and saturation is not a hard problem to fix. So if you need Internet and like to play games, expect 150+ ping/latency and if you're paying for 100 mbs, expect 20 mbs and even with that you should be able to load Netflix but you can't. No Comcast, no at&t, no rise broadband, no Verizon fios, no other internet company... I think I've made my point.

        If you are looking for a place that has reliable internet and great internet speeds, find a different place to live. I have been on the phone with IT more than being on the phone with any other person in my life. I'm paying for 100 MBS but rarely get anywhere close to that and the latency/ping times are usually in the 200-300 ms range.
