First of all, it's very expensive for what you're actually getting here. The 1 bedrooms are reasonably priced, but the 2 bedrooms are ridiculous for what you actually get. And I should mention, the price goes up every year that you renew. The internet suuuuucks! And you only get 1 choice in provider, so yeah? if you need the internet for work, I wouldn't count on working correctly every day. We've gone days on days without it working before. But hey, it looks nice, I guess. But people don't pick up their dog poop.

    First, the customer support team in the office are very helpful and nice. Secondly, the maintenance team is the same. As far as the actual apartments are concerned, there are some things that could use some improvement. For one, when we first moved in, our tub had to be unclogged (we did it), as it was literally stuffed with the last tenant's hair and the water wouldn't drain at all. The furnace is ancient, so the heater is a constant issue. Whoever paints the apartments, paints over everything on the walls, so even though it looks nice from a distance, give it a little time and you'll start noticing the blemishes. All we can do it hope that we don't lose any of our security deposit for that. Those things, excluding the heater, are not a big deal though. What bothers me most about these apartments is that the internet is provided by a horrible company. We pay for internet monthly with our rent, and instead of having reliable service, it constantly goes out or slows down to turtle speeds almost on a month to month basis. The prices just increased on the internet plans by 5 bucks, and not a week after receiving that notice, the internet starts dropping intermittently. It has been doing this for 2 days now. This wouldn't be as big of a deal if it weren't during a pandemic, or if I didn't have my own business that relies very heavily on having reliable internet service. The kicker to this internet issue? You can't get any other service here. You have to accept what they offer if you want internet service. Now, something that is out of Beacon Hill's control: People don't like to pick up their dog's mess in the grass. This makes going outside and enjoying the beautiful area nearly impossible because we have to walk on the street to avoid dog poop. The company has constantly put up flyers asking people to pick it up. There are stations with free bags all over the complex, and yet, people are too lazy to pick it up. We can't even walk our dog in the grass because of this issue. Just pick it up, people. You wanted a dog, and a part of taking care of a dog, is picking up their poop. Another issue, which is out of their control, is loud neighbors. You expect noise every once in a while, but towards the back of the complex, where the two bedroom apartments are, people are ridiculous. Loud music in the parking lot at 2am ridiculous. And lastly, the water is horrible. But, it's horrible everywhere in Rockford. Don't drink it. Use a filter in the shower and your kitchen sink. Get those refillable 5 gallon jugs from Wally World. Whatever you can do to avoid this junk. And let's finish this off with something good, shall we? These apartments aren't the worst. There are other companies in Rockford that SUCK, like one that rhymes with Domes Cow. This company is far from sucky. They are good people, and they work with you on a lot of things. The issues that we have in this apartment won't be the same issues you have in another. There is always going to be some sort of issue, no matter where you go. That's why maintenance exists. Luckily, the maintenance team here is decent. Also, these apartments are close to the mall, Wally World, a lot of fast food places (a great Subway and Taco Bell btw), a preserve with a walking path, and the highway is right around the corner if you need to get to Chicago in a hurry for some reason. All in all, I'd say this place isn't so bad. But if you need the internet to be reliable, you ain't getting that here, buddy.
