The Village at Colbert Park
Resident • 2011 - 2014 Recommended
I've lived at the Village for the past three years and have really enjoyed my time here. I have two dogs, and the Village is really great for pets; there's a large park next door to the complex and plenty of grassy areas on and around the complex property for you to take your dog outside. The apartments are really spacious and have plenty of storage space, which is great for people with a lot of stuff or for people who plan to live at the Village for a while. The apartments do sometimes get cool or warm depending on the weather, but it's really nothing out of the ordinary. In fact, my bills didn't really increase that much compared to last year despite record-breaking cold temperatures. It's also really neat that the Village has been engaging in resident appreciation activities, such as free meals and handouts. It's a really cool and personal touch. The only real problem I've had with the Village was some account billing issues, which were resolved fairly quickly by the on-site management staff. Unbeknownst to me, I was being charged for renter's insurance, even though I had my own, and had a balance on my account. I had to visit the management office on two separate occasions, six months apart, to get my account balance sorted out. It was inconvenient, but the staff was courteous and appeared pretty apologetic about the account mix up. As for maintenance requests, I got a slow response to a request to remove some furniture during the height of move-in time, but every other request has been answered promptly. I've even had to deal with the Village's 24-hour management staff and had a good experience. I have no complaints about the maintenance staff. Overall, I'd give the Village a solid 8 out of 10 on a ten-point scale. You really can't beat the combination of space, price, and amenities. I'd gladly recommend living at the Village to my friends.
