I thought we had found our dream apartment, until we went to move out. We spent hours cleaning, being VERY meticulous about making sure we got it all clean. We were told in our "move-out" inspection that it was one of the cleanest apartments they had seen. However, after we had moved out and were awaiting the return of our deposit, we get a huge bill in the mail, stating that it must be paid within 15 days or it will get taken up with collections. After emailing and having telephone conversations with their "prior tenant" customer "care" number, they were willing to reduce the charges by about $50 saying that they had charged us incorrectly, but had enough other proof to keep the rest of the charges. The only photographic evidence they had was a picture of the exterior of the building and a picture of our apartment number, and one picture of the carpet in the heavy traffic area showing normal wear. The customer "care" from this place is a joke. I'm not one to really believe all the horrible reviews that are wrote, but I have never been so horribly treated before. We've lived in our fair share of apartments, and this is the first one we have ever not gotten our full deposit back. On an end note, be sure to clean the screens in your windows or you will be charged for the cleaning of those. Oh yeah, and that move in checklist you did? Doesn't matter, you'll get charged regardless.
