Monroe Garden Apartments

WARNING: This apartment complex is managed by a bunch of crooks! I lived here for 4 years and moved out when I found a house to purchase. During the winter, my electric bills were usually around $300-$400 a month due to the cheap metal windows that were never sealed correctly that they refused to replace. Also, when I moved out, they tried to stick me with a $1500 bill for carpet replacement! Basically, they try to defer the normal cost of flipping an apartment on to the previous tenants. Then, when I tried to make a payment arrangement with them, which they agreed upon, they "accidentally forgot" and sent it to collections. Plus, the whole time I lived there, we had a broken ice maker I called to have fixed repeatedly with no solution for 3 out of the 4 years I lived there. This place is a joke. What prompted me to move out was the fact that a shooting occurred right under my bedroom window one night. When I told the apartment managers, they didn't give a crap. Monroe Gardens has become a den for drug dealers and theives.
