Cost Effective and Spacious!
I am Lisa, a Freshman and I live in FAR. A good friend of mine, also Freshman, stays in the Europa House, a certified housing unit of the U of I. I visit this friend often. Let me share the following surprise discoveries withā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Good place to live during the SUMMER even for a Grad student
i had the experience of living at Europa House lofts during the summer, the management was nice, the place was quiet and even it had the pool available. However I felt that the loft used to get really hot since the bed is almost closeā¦Ā See More >ac87ar

Do you want a honest review of this place? Read.
Europa House is a neat location, 10 mins. from Engineering Campus, 15 mins from Business campus, and 20 mins from Art Department. The rooms are reasonably presented, with dated (but functional) furniture. Noise levels are ok, however music is heard occasionally. The staff is friendly,ā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Great for freshmen, frustrating by the end of the year
I never really wanted to live in a dorm, so Europa House was a great alternative. When you add all the costs up, itĀ“s pretty much around the same cost as a dorm and youĀ“re not forced to get the meal plan.

Furniture that theyā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Good for incoming freshmen
Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors: Look elsewhere because non-university accredited apartments are a much better deal. You can pay less and get four separate bedrooms rather than sharing two. Walls are very thin (therefore many noise complaints). Also the furniture comes straightā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Great experience for UI freshman
Lived at Europa my freshman year...noise wasnĀ“t a big problem for me....great roommate matching, ample space, fun atmosphere...especially enjoyed the pool and lower level TV room (can get away from noise if needed). Had great fun freshman year, and highly recommend it to others! :)ā¦Ā See More >birdiegirl16

Close to campus. Kept clean. Inexpensive for first year.
Europa House is the most spacious place IĀ“ve seen that is available to entering Freshmen. Way better than normal apartments in that itĀ“s entirely enclosed, no having to go outside in the cold to visit your next-door apartment neighbor. The service is relativelyā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Europa House: Nice idea, poorly built
Biggest problems with Europa House:

* The floors and ceilings are paper thin, so you can hear the people above and below you. Especially easy to hear footsteps.

* The furniture is crap.

Otherwise, Europa House is a nice place to live. I just canĀ“t recommendā¦Ā See More >Europa House
