Great for a College Apartment
I live at 201 E. Armory and I love Smith Apartments. I, unlike my other reviewers realize that I live on a college campus and there is no such thing as a brilliant apartment unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for it. Smith apartments is the best you can get for your money. There is outside security and a buzzer to let people into the building, which you rarely get for under $500. I currently pay $425. The maintenance people are very nice and are on the tenants side rather than the manager's. One guy gave us a new dresser in for my new roommate with more space than her old one. They also spray for bugs a lot which is nice, it generally keeps them out. The laundry services are really CHEAP! Mr. Smith is a very very nice man. One of the complaints I have is about parking. the lot downstairs is very cramped and its hard to park and get out of your car because its so close to the car or pole next to you. However, the lot also has a garage door so it is very secure. The closets are HUGE, all my clothes fit in with extra room to spare, which is saying a lot, being a senior in college. The landscape isn't fantastic, but its a college campus, surrounded by frats, so I don't ask for much on that level. If you're worried about noise in the building, Smith doesn't allow kegs, so that stops raging groups of guys to move in, eliminating most of the noise. the frats around the building are pretty loud at times though, but its usually only the weekends so its not too bad. The balconies are really big as well. Overall this is a great apartment for the price in a college town. LIVE HERE!!!!! :)Share This Review
