It should tell you something that the only two poor reviews for Villa Garden are by people who didn't actually live here.
Villa Garden is an excellent place to live. I've lived here 4 months now and I have to say it's been an extremely positive experience.
Management: Kelly, the property manager is great. She takes a great deal of pride in the property and it shows. She's helpful and efficient whenever you there is a problem and she is always friendly.
Grounds: The grounds are well maintained. There is a center courtyard between the buildings with a playground and gazebo which are lovely. They are always clean, and now that it's the Holiday season they are even decorated. The grounds are very clean as well. There is always ample parking, as well as visitor parking which is never full.
Safety: Villa Garden has always seemed extremely safe to me. Building access is restricted, visitors need to be buzzed in. And the parking lot is well lit as well. I'm a woman, living alone and I have never felt that my safety was compromised.
Apartments: The apartments themselves are very nice. I have a one bedroom and it's very spacious. They are painted neutral browns which is very cozy. The kitchens are pass through, with a cut out so everything feels very open. They are big enough to have a small table. Full bathrooms, with tubs. LOTS of closet space. Heating is electric base units, and AC is a wall unit. Stove is also electric.
I tend to keep to myself, but the neighbors have all seemed very friends. It's a mixed group--families, singles, a few college students.
There is a laundry room in each building $1.25/washers, $1.00/dryers, 2 of each. There is also a laundromat a few blocks away which is where I usually go (just because I'm impatient).
For a 1 bedroom I pay $825 and my electric bill was around $20 dollars when the heat wasn't on, now that it's winter it's about $55 dollars.
I would highly recommend living here.
