I have been living in Chateau Royale for 2 years, felt home alike. This apartment manager Joseph Hughes, he is willing to help each of his tenants at his best. I moved into Illinois in 2011 for a residency. After I reviewed all good comments online about this apartment complex, I decided this is where I wanted to stay. I had to come in a few days for job related orientation, but the room for me won t be ready by then, I was offered to stay in a guest room with my family for more than a week with no additional cost. The manager bought a new set of bedding sheet, provide cooking utensils and furniture in guest room. After I moved into my room, for some reason, paperwork at my new job did not go through, there is a small chance I won t be able to start my new job at all. I was left being unpaid during the waiting period. I told Joe about my situation, I may have to move out before the lease ends. In general, other property management will ask the tenant to pay certain portion of remaining balance in the lease, very surprisingly, Joe understands my difficult situation, he told me not to pay any extra if my work status did not work out. I can move out the day I decided to. I cannot believe it, he is such a considerate and kind person, and he sacrifices his benefits for the best of his tenants. I was so moved. From my past two years experience living in Chateau Royale, I noticed both Joe and nighttime manager Barry they provide quality service to all tenants, whenever something is broken or need to be fixed, within one or two days, they will get the job done, I never doubt or need to call them for the second time. They routinely did some maintenance work to make sure everything is running properly. Chateau Royale is located in a very quite neighborhood, off the main street, most of the tenants are the retired seniors, they have been living here for many years, that is another good indication this apartment made them feel comfortable and safe. Also some medical school students, graduate students, and Navy people, as there are Rosalind Franklin University of Science and Medicine, Great Lake Navy station, Abbott Pharmaceutical Company nearby. The rent is very reasonable, on low end, includes almost everything, high speed wireless Internet, cable with international channels, water and gas. You just need to pay electricity, has been $20-25/month. The room is spacious, big closet with convenient designed shelf. Most of the rooms come with a deck. Apartment complex is near major highway, 5 minutes to I-41 and I-94 northbound to Milwaukee, Southbound to the city of Chicago. Many fast food restaurants near by, walking distance, like Pizza Hut, McDonald s, IOP, Dunkin Donut etc. I highly recommending this apartment whoever is looking for a place you will feel home alike, comfortable, safe and being taken care of. I feel so lucky to be here, by time I am leaving Chicago for a new career adventure, I will miss Chateau Royale and Joe and his staff. I am very thankful how they make me feel that people are nice and trustworthy and life is good!
