Landings at Amhurst Lake

I hate to say it, but I always feel like managment is finding new and diverse ways to charge us. Each time I pay for one thing (trash, water, etc.) I'm getting billed for something else. For what I'm paying to live here, I'd expect them to keep a better record of payments.

Other reviews have talked about unfulfilled promises and I couldn't agree more -- they've been feeding us lines to placate our anger over various problems for MONTHS now and the only thing they've done was repave some sidewalks that didn't need it in the first place. I would be so happy if they replaced/fixed/renovated the work-out room, or put up the gates that have been broken for like 6 months.

During the summer the pool was in operation for maybe a month between it being broken for several weeks and didn't open until the middle of June in the first place. When it was 103 degrees we had no pool.

The apartments are fine but not spectacular. Everything in my bathroom (toilet, bathtub, vanity) is at a slant so water pools, things fall off/down, just a pain. The windows are beautiful but are not well insulated, so if you can, cover them with plastic to keep heat in. Usually there is enough hot water to shower, but it's never particularly hot -- more tepid.

The walls are considerably thin: I can hear my neighbors baby cry, and the kids on the floor above me sound like bowling-balls hitting my ceiling, although this may be them and not the building itself.

Oh and there were ants during the summer in my kitchen and bedroom (and I'm a neat freak).

Overall, this has been a rough experience.
