I lived at King Arthur Apartments and I found Mr. McNulty to be a polite man that takes great pride in his property. The pool was always immaculate and I cannot even recall having to share it on more than one or two occasions. My fiance and I awoke to ducks greeting me from my balcony and had two private parking spaces, clean laundry facilities, no bugs or mice, clean, well landscaped grounds with lots of trees and gorgeous hardwood floors with updated appliances and oodles of closet space. Mr. McNulty is careful to screen who stays at his aparments because it has a community atmosphere and he would like it to remain that way. There are children living there, and eldery as well...plus a large class of working couples that take the westmont train downtown. I found it to be peaceful and when I moved into a home of my own, received my security deposit back prompty! I also had 2 cats and never once did I have troubles or disputes with the man. If you are a working mom that is concerned for safety, or a family looking for a homey, community place that´s quiet, or an eldery person seeking a place to relax and unwind..or even a male that likes to swim and unwind by bbq´ing on the balcony <small grills are allowed> then this is the place to be. There is a minimum income requirement and a credit check. After that..it´s all downhill from there. I loved feeding the ducks at the pond and there is now a lovely children´s park less than 2 blocks away..without having to cross any busy streets. It is close to shopping and located in a mostly residential area. The train is closeby as well. The bedrooms are large and were not drafty in the least. I loved the victorian style tile in the large bath and I cannot recall ever hearing my neighbors because the walls are thick and with rugs on the floor..It was very quiet. Your gas and hot water is paid by the management and each living room has a picture window that lets in plenty of fresh air and provides sunlight. I lived in a 2 bedroom apartment and was 23 at the time I stayed there. I never asked to have a friend live there because that would be imposing on the rights of the other tenants. How could the manager allow his tenants to be subject to credit checks and job inquiries and not ask the same of someone attemtping to ´crash´ for a while at her boyfriends apartment. It would be unfair to the rest of the tenants. These are fairly priced apartments that are quiet and enjoyable. Don´t be fooled by one disgruntled tenant. It´s a lovely place to live! :D
