If you are overtly image conscious, then King Arthur's appeal is the nicely landscaped grounds in the summertime and the surprisingly spacious interior dwellings. My studio has more space than other studios I have seen in 'hot' locations. The rent tends to be lower than most locations, but not low enough to attract a bunch of losers. The community is surprisingly quiet considering the layout of the buildings. As far as quietness in the units - that really depends on the people in your building. I have been fortunate to have responsible, mature, people around me. Therefore, it has been relatively quiet. If you get noisy people next to you, you will definitely hear them. What is interesting about this apartment complex is that it seems to be in standby mode. While the inside of the units are often updated, the exterior of the buildings are incredibly dated and need some major work.
There is coin laundry provided in the basements however the machines are very old. There is a decent swimming pool, again old, but clean. Looks like there used to be a clubhouse bar, however, it is no longer in use. I often expect to get the news that the property has been bought out by a contractor and we need to get out. And while the rent is still quite affordable in the scheme of things, there will be a point with further increases when the facilities do no justify the monthly payment (regardless of whether it is the cheapest in the area). In the meantime, rent here if you want to design a nice interior space for yourself at a pretty good price and in a decent rental community.
