Call Saturday to make an appt. Lady that answered said that she was the only person in the office so she would not be able to help me Saturday since she had other appointments. No problem, made the appointment for Sunday at 1pm. However, I will mention that I find it highly unprofessional when only one person works the weekends. Every complex I've ever visited has tons of people on the weekends due to the hours that these places are typically open. So why only one person? Even my current complex has two people and it's not that big. This place is HUGE! If not to help prospective residents, then you should have a second person that is there to answer the phone for CURRENT residents.
I arrived at 12:50 on Sunday. Office was locked with a sign on the door that said 'Clubhouse closed for charity event'. I was a little early so I waited. 1 o'clock came... no one there. There was a vehicle in the 'Future Resident' parking so I politely waited in case they were showing an apt to someone already. 1:15, still no show. Knocked on the door in case someone was there but the door was locked, no answer. Called about 6 times. Left a message at 1:17 stating that I had made an appt and waited here for 30 minutes and no one showed. Left.
No one called me back. Says a lot about management.
Also, while waiting, we heard a toddler have an all out temper tantrum in a close-by building. Literally screaming at the top of her lungs. All windows and doors closed yet it sounded like they were all wide open so I'm sure her neighbors heard here. And their screen door was just hanging off the track. I would think you would want the apts closest to the leasing office to always look the best but that didn't seem the case.
At least with these places, you can tell immediately if your neighbor is a smoker (if you're sensitive to that thing) because their blinds are all yellowing. So if you have health concerns like me, then if the person next door has yellow blinds, you can easily count that place out.
No comments on the apts themselves since no one decided to show. Even if they actually ever decide to call me back, I won't be going in for a viewing as first impressions are critical and blowing someone off for an appt AND not calling them back to explain? Yeah... no thanks.
