Woodland Creek Apartments
Resident • 2013 - 2016 Not Recommended
Woodland Creek may seem like a good idea, but in reality it is not. Once you start living here, you realize you could have probably done and deserve a lot better. The office staff is often rude. The rent goes up a lot each year, on top of the fact that it is already expensive. They advertise the apartments as "Luxury" but the only nice thing about it really is the lake and pools. Also, take into account that during the summer, there are a ton of mosquitoes in the back forested/lake area, so walking is difficult at times. People Do Not pick up after their dogs. Often you will end up stepping in dog crap that you drag all over. Top floors tend to have squirrels living in the ceiling, so make sure you ask the office staff about that before you move in. The squirrels make a lot of noise running over your heads all the time. A huge negative for me is the insulation. It gets ridiculously cold here in the winter, and if you place your hand near the windows you will see why. Cold air leaks through. The walls also have poor insulation. If you have a small child, prepare a space heater to keep them warmer in the winter. Your issues do not matter. Please call the office staff and see how well they respond and take care of your problems. Even when they do take care of your issues, you still end up dealing with a bunch of crap. You can hear and smell your neighbors through the vents and walls. Review the lease because pretty much even if they mess up, it is still somehow your fault. I have to give it to them: the lease is very well written to only benefit them. If you need to speak with the office manager, she will most likely forget to call you back. If you send her an email, she will not respond. At least it happened to us several times. The forest used to look nice, but now there are many dead and fallen trees. Anyway, I could go on and on with all the insanity of this place. I am really glad we are getting out this year. I am not telling you not to move in, but before you do please do your research so that you won't end up regretting your choice. Good Luck!
