Fountain Park has been a great place to live since my move to Bloomington. 1) Parking -- there is always an abundance of parking. I've never had an issue getting a space and I doubt I ever will. 2) Noise -- aside from hearing my neighbors close their doors (which is to be expected in an apartment community), Fountain Park has no noise problem that I know of. I absolutely HATE loud noises in my living space so if it were a problem at all, trust, I'd mention it. If it weren't for the occasional passing train or my neighbors coming and going, it would be hard to convince me I wasn't living here all by myself, it's that quiet. Then again, I could be lucky because I have quiet neighbors. 3) Grounds - I gave this three stars, only because the grass at the front of the complex near the bus stop looks TERRIBLE. Otherwise, it's clean and basic, which works fine for me since I'm not the one maintaining it. Also, I like that they have a pool. 4) Safety - No crime problems that I'm aware of and I feel safe walking around the complex at all times of the day. 5) Construction - Very spacious apartment for a single dweller like myself. The built in floor to ceiling bookshelf was a big plus. My apartment has the new stoves/refrigerators and they both work great. The flood lights on the wall near the front door are pretty cool, too. The only thing I dislike is not having a washer and dryer in my unit (the two and three bedrooms at the back of the complex have them, though). 6) Maintenance - I haven't had any problems with my apartment so I can't speak on their timeliness. But the maintenance staff rides around on go carts as they go about their business and they are always SUPER friendly. They have also stayed on top of the snow fall this winter; usually by the time I leave in the morning, the sidewalks and driveways have been cleared. 7) The staff has always been very friendly and respectful to me. I also like how they plan events and contests and send out newsletters to the tenants. That's above and beyond what they technically HAVE to do and I applaud their efforts to make Fountain Park a real community. Overall, I thoroughly enjoy living here and would recommend it for anyone needing a reasonably priced, spacious apartment to live in during their time in Bloomington.
