Resident 2012 - 2015

6/16/2015

My wife and I have had the pleasure of living in a 2 bed, 2 bath apartment for the past 3 years. It is only because we are expecting our first child that we have decided to buy a house and leave these apartments. To start, Stacie (the property manger) does an absolutely fantastic job of running this property. maintenance requests can be submitted easily online (along with rent), and are always taken care of by a friendly and professional maintenance team in less than 24 hours. They also leave notes about the details of the fixes after they leave which is a great touch. I never have to wonder whether they have stopped by. Every time I walk into the office, Stacie knows who I am and makes sure to ask details about how we are doing. It's exceedingly rare these days to find someone so evidently engaged in their job. The apartment itself is a huge open floor plan with 10 foot ceilings. When you walk in the door, you can see clearly to the other side with no obstruction. The kitchen is huge and bedrooms are spacious and well laid-out. If you can handle the (very) long trek up the stairs, the views from the 3rd floor are incredible. The location is unbelievable. Just below are several of the greatest restaurants Carmel has to offer. Our apartment has a view of both Main Street and the Monon Trail - also a quick trip down the stairs. Several weekends during the summer, The Arts and Design District hosts special events. There's "Jazz on the Monon," a free concert which occurs on the lawn adjacent to the building and is a great way to spend a Saturday evening with the balcony door open. There's also bigger events, like the "Artomobilia" festival, which closes Main Street to vehicles and hosts hundreds of classic and exotic cars for people to see. All of these things occur right outside our window - a truly unique experience. You will not find a better experience in Carmel. Forget about Sophia Square across the street, Old Town on the Monon offers a better experience, better management, more square footage and a lower price.
