To Anonymous, First of all, we would like to thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Abbey Court Apartments of Evansville. We would like to apologize that your experience at Abbey Court were less than expected. Samaritan Companies takes our resident's input very seriously! Unfortunately, due to the "anonymous" name, we are unable to pull your records to your unit and verify the claims being made. However, the claims being stated in your review are borderline slanderous & libel. At the time of employment, we run background checks on all employees to insure we have a great staff! We regret that your experience living at Abbey Court was less than favorable. We at Samaritan Companies take great pride in our communities. Since our December 2012 purchase of Abbey Court, we have been working diligently to repair any existing deficiencies, which included roof leaks. We apologize that you feel as though the initial roof repair was not done as quickly as you would've liked, although scheduling contractors can be a difficult task. We did have contractors here to fix the interior drywall repairs shortly thereafter. Additionally, we make every effort to accommodate our residents schedules when possible. First and foremost, we thank you for bringing all areas of concern to our attention. With that being said, we would like to address your concerns and hopefully resolve any and all reservations you may have with our abilities as your new management company and staff. As you may be aware of, the laundry room was in need of a major overhaul with venting malfunctions, faulty equipment, and was in desperate need of new flooring, paint and machines and we made that change within 120 days of our purchase of Abbey Court. Since the problem with the standing water was brought to light, we have hired a subcontractor to rectify that issue and have terminated our cleaning contract with the prior housekeepers. I am hopeful that you will see a huge improvement in the laundry rooms within the next two weeks. Our maintenance team has worked diligently to resolve all work requests in a timely fashion. In order for us to rectify what you feel is a less than perfect repair, we ask that you please call in the issue in greater detail and allow us the opportunity to rework the repair. Another large project we have undertaken within months of purchasing Abbey Court was to tackle the hallways. Unfortunately, some of them seem require more extensive drywall work and the process may take a few days. All carpets within the entryways as well as the entryways themselves are scheduled to be cleaned once all sixty three (63) hallways are painted. Although we may not be perfect , we are hopeful you and your family will notice the ongoing improvements at Abbey Court and you will allow us to prove to you how proud we are to be a part of your community. I am very sorry to hear that you have not enjoyed your experience at Abbey Court. Since Samaritan started managing our community in December, we have worked hard to ensure the happiness and satisfaction of each and every one of our residents. I also want to clear up some possible confusion regarding the water bill. The bill that you receive every month includes not only water, but trash and gas as well.
