My wife and I lived here for a little over 2 years and the whole entire experience was horrible. When we moved in we had 2 dogs and had to pay a pet 'deposit'. We were told that we would not get the money back but if there were any damages to the apartment when we left, then the deposit would go towards the damages. When we moved in we had 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Our spare bedroom had a balcony door that had a one inch gap between the door and the door frame (you could see outside through the crack). We put in 3 work orders before someone came to check it out. The maintenance guys they hire don't know how to do their jobs. They looked at the crack, looked at me and asked, "So, what do you want me to do about it?" Fix the door, obviously. Nope, lived there the whole 2 1/2 years with a crack in my door frame. All they did was filled the space with foam weatherizing strips. So, needless to say, I couldn't use my balcony door the entire time. Every time that I would call them over to fix something, the maintenance guys would always ask me how to fix things. We had an older lady that lived next to us and she would always complain about the maintenance guys because whenever they would go over to her apartment to fix something, they would ask her how to fix things. It's pathetic, if you are hired to do maintenance, you should know the basics of taking care of things around an apartment complex. When we moved out we had pet damage to the carpet and they said it was going to cost about $1,349. I asked about the pet deposit that we had paid when we moved in, which was $600 for two pets. They said that it isn't a pet deposit, it is a pet 'fee' and that we don't get that money back. They said it doesn't get applied to damages and it is just money you pay so that you can have your dogs live there with you. So I lost out of $600 as well. Then, they always increase your rent every year. It doesn't matter if you are already locked into a lease agreement. Our rent went up about $50-80 per year. I also had a friend move in there in January of 2014 and he had to pay a pet 'deposit' of $300 for his dog. He was told that he doesn't get that money back but if there are any damages, then it gets applied to the damages of the apartment in the end. I told him how they treated us, but he's still too new there and is finding it hard to believe me no matter how much I tell him about our bad experiences there. They do a really good job at deceiving you. The outside of the complex is really nice, but the inside of the buildings look like it is a really old run down building. Def not worth nearly $1,000 per month. Oh, our rent went up from $768 or so per month to $920 per month in the 2 1/2 years we lived there.
