I do not recommend leasing an apartment at Arbor Lakes Apartments. The moment any lease holder signature for an apartment you complete a checklist. None of my checklist issues was fixed the entire year of leasing my apartment. I made a copy of the checklist for my records. First off my hallway light cover kept falling down and never got fixed at all. Next the Master Bedroom closet rail was broke and never fixed at all. Also my apartment carpet was not install correctly causing bumps and the problem ever got fixed at all. Finally the stove bulbs never got fixed at all. My checklist problems was not fixed in which I complained several times!!! Once 12 months was up I decided to go month to month leasing. A couple of months later my mother and I turned in our notice to vacate. I understand at that point your apartment goes up for market. Within three weeks before move out date our new rental home didn't meet code. I went into the office asking to possibly see about renewing my lease. My apartment was already leased out to a new tenant. The same style apartment was available behind my unit. The office stated my mother and I could move to the back unit and pay $50.00 dollars more in rent because of the fireplace. Most apartments would have asked the new tenant to take a back unit explaining the situation. We had to options which was take the back unit or transfer to a another property. We looked into transferring to another property but was not completely happy with the building structure. We found a new rental home within a week and moved out. Now my $99.00 dollars security deposit is not being refunded. The reason we are not getting our deposit was because damage carpet. Remember on my checklist I complain on carpet bump with several issue. Nothing was never dropped on my carpet. A matter of fact we never had any stains on the carpet as well. We believe the that Arbor Lakes Manager was upset because we didn't take the back unit or transfer to another property. My mother and I are faithful Christians and if you do wrong to others bad will follow you eventually. We plan on speaking to our pre-paid attorney soon. This definitely is a major sign of unfair justice!!!!! New tenants be careful about leasing from Arbor Lakes Apartments. Thanks for taking the time to reading our experience.
