Thank you for the review. I'm sorry you had some issues since moving in to Astoria. I'll do my best to address them here, but would encourage you to come and speak with us in the office so we can resolve these. Regarding fire alarms: we changed the batteries in all smoke detectors in November. Normally we do work orders in the order they come in, but if your smoke detector wasn't working this is something we would prioritize. We had an instance of this not long ago and took care of it within one day of the resident coming in. We would never ask a resident to buy smoke alarms, and we have no report of a resident buying any. If this is the case, please come and speak with us about this. Again, I'm sorry that there have been some issues since you've moved in, but I believe we can resolve them. Please come and speak with us in the management office and we will sort all this out. Thank you.

Here at Twin Oaks Apartments we encourage our residents to inform us of problems in their apartments as soon as possible so these issues can be addressed promptly. The staff doesn't consider any issue or problem too small or trivial. We encourage questions and try to foster a community atmosphere. There have been challenges with pest control here in Fort Wayne in general with the past summer having a very high population level of insects and pests due to the very mild winter we enjoyed. We have the leading pest control company in the city that makes weekly visits and has provided us with excellent results. While our community is older, we are doing routine maintenance to maintain this property and we update it as we can. Everyone has different preferences in housing. While we are not a fancy community, we do offer quality housing at affordable rents.
