I'm a Vietnam Era Veteran, and I'd rather live in the jungle than in one of these apartments. The jungle is safer, cleaner and quieter than this hellhole I now live in. I feel like I'm on active duty again, always having to be vigilant with eyes in the back of my head, not only outside, but inside the buildings and even in my own apartment. Kids rule the entire place and it is noisy every hour of the day. It's a hell of a place for a person who served his country to spend his final days. They need 24 hour security (armed) at this facility at the very least.
I have also met many people I consider to be friends, and they express the same sentiments. The place is just completely out of order and control by the administration, who appears to be here only for their paycheck. Its a real shame. This place could be a real paradise being situated 2 blocks from beautiful Lake Michigan with scenic dunes and nature right outside the buildings. Too bad the human environment makes it so unpleasant.........
