*potential applicants* These apartments are really nice on the inside and not so bad on the outside. Brand new carpet , brand new appliances , washer and dryer in the unit etc. Kind of pricy for the area , But I was willing to pay to have everything new and the washer and dryer in the home would save me tons a month. My only gripe is that the office staff is quick to sell you on the apartments but cannot answer basic questions. I currently rebuilt my credit and wanted to know the criteria for the credit application . The lady asked if I have any evictions (no) , do I owe any apartments (no) , and If i had any recent bankruptcies (no). So I felt confident. I only cared so much because the application fee is $50 and the admin fee is $150, which can't be paid in a money order or personal check. You would have to purchase a cashiers check from your bank . And it has to be one check. Needless to say I was denied ( for charge offs and some late credit payments) and I was told the check would be returned to me in 30 days . I have never heard anything like this. Usually it's given back immediately. I should have known something was strange when i couldn't make it out in two checks . I am on day 44 and I have not recvd my check. I called the office then someone tells me "oh actually it takes 30-45 days to receive my check. I am moving which is pretty costly so every penny counts. She then tells my my check was cut July18 (a whole 30 days later ) I found out that corporate is right here in the same city so I don't understand what's taking so long . I also work at the post office downtown and we have been pushing mail out a few days early (I.e. Thursday mail going out on Tuesday/Wednesday) so I definitely should have it by now If you're like me and moving on a tight budget and don't have money to gamble with I wouldn't apply unless you know you will be approved for sure . I wasn't going to write a review but at this point management seeems shady. I have never had an issue like this and I'm wondering how people have been " got " like this . Are our admin checks being using to pay for all this construction or being used to pay something else ??? Where is that money going exactly? And why is management so adamant on making sure the funds are secure ( cashiers check ) and taking so long to return it ? It's almost as if they don't have intentions on returning it , or it already has been accounted for . Looks like me being denied is really me dodging a bullet from dealing with a shady company.
