Auburn Hill Apartments

We have lived here for a year, however we will not be renewing our lease. We have met some very friendly people here. We have heard of apartments and cars being broken into though despite having alarm systems. We personally had a propane tank stolen from our back patio, which isn't a huge deal, but it was very frustrating. When we first moved in they were getting a new maintenance team. Our apartment had dirty carpets, open paint jars, a cigarette butt was in the sink, and none of the plug ins had covers. When we told the front office about it, they apologized and gave us a discount for our first month's rent. After that it just became excuse after excuse. Our microwave was broken, our garbage disposal still doesn't work. When we called for the maintenance man to come fix it. He knocked on the door once and then left a note saying our dog wouldn't let him in. I know this to be false because I was home. Just little things like that make this a less than pleasant place to call home. Not to mention the manager at the front desk rarely talks to you like a normal person. She's always got an attitude with something. Another thing they are doing right now is trying to make sure they can get any last penny out of you. We signed a 12 month lease and let them know we wouldn't be renewing it, however they are still trying to make us pay longer than that. We will see how all of this goes. Overall the quality of the apartments are nice. They are affordable and in a decent location. The only real problem is the management.
