The apartments are mediocre at best, which is being generous as it is. The community is okay, fairly quiet for the most part, but there is plenty of crime that happens in the area, including several cars that were broken into during my stay. The staff is extremely unhelpful and most are downright rude. Good luck getting ahold of them on the phone because they will rarely answer. Better get used to fixing everything yourself too. They have basically no one on their maintenance team and for several months had several homes with no working AC in the hottest part of the summer (100+ F). There was no sense of urgency to get these fixed and their best advice was to "get a fan". Be prepared to pay for fees that don't actually apply to anything. They have a minimum of $150 (up to 1 months rent) non refundable security deposit that isn't even applied to any minor damage or normal wear and tear when you move out. When I asked the head manager what that money is applied to she literally couldn't even drum up a logical explanation, stumbling over her words and finally gave up and just admitted that she had no idea where that money goes. Mind you, this is not the typical administrative fee most apartments charge, that's a separate fee that also doesn't apply to anything. In general, I highly recommend staying away from this community and any other Goldollar Community. Go check out some of the other apartments on Banta or Southport Roads, you will have a better experience and won't end up getting scammed in the end.
