I recently relocated to Indianapolis 3 weeks ago from Chicago. I fell in love instantly with the Marott. It reminded me of a building along Lake Shore Drive with way cheaper rent. I did my research on the property and found quite a few negative reviews. I was nervous to sign a lease and then regret it. I came to see the apartments on a Saturday and Sarah, the leasing agent, was great. I expressed all my concerns to her and she honestly answered them. Yes, the apartments get drafty in the winter. It's a vintage building and the same thing happened in my condo in Chicago. She gave me a tour and provided me with all of the information regarding parking, security, wedding receptions and so forth. I was able to score a 10th floor apartment with city views. You can not get my view and all of the amenities for this price anywhere near downtown. This building has history and character unlike the apartments along the Canal and other downtown places. The building is immaculate and the residents, the other leasing agents, and even the repair men are friendly. I absolutely LOVE my apartment. It's quiet, safe and in an excellent location. They installed brand new blinds and carpet for me before I moved in and even worked with me on holding the apartment until I leased out my condo in Chicago. The only negative thing is the kitchen cabinets need updated and I really wanted a unit with a washer/dryer. The apartments are a tad small too, but with any vintage building this is how it is. I could go on and on, but this place is definitely one of the best apartments I've lived in. If you want a 5 start apartment then pay the 5 star rent to live in a boxy apartment. Otherwise, chose a building that cares about its residents at a reasonable price. Oh and btw, their outdoor pool is awesome!!
