We lived at Stoneridge apartments for over a year and a half and were fairly pleased with the quality of the apartments and kindness of the staff. However, we were frequently woken up after midnight by noisy neighbors yelling in the parking lot or playing music loud enough to hear with all windows closed as late as 3am (we are in our 20's and thought we were used to loud apartments, but this has been the loudest by far). In addition, when it was time to extend our lease, we were told that our rent would be increasing by over 150%. This was after being told months earlier that an extension on our lease would be no problem. After deciding to move out rather than paying the unreasonably high increase in rent, we were charged huge fees for only giving a 45 day notice instead of 60 days. The corporate office was unreasonable and unwilling to work with us on the issue.
BE CAREFUL to read all fine print and make sure you have written documentation of ALL encounters with the Stoneridge staff if you want to avoid being penalized, and expect large increases in rent cost after your initial lease is up.
