I spent a lot of time searching apartments but the first time I drove through the property here at Woodbridge I knew it was where I wanted to be. Most apartments are pretty plain and not much of an environment. Woodbridge has a lot of trees all around the property which really pulled me in. I knew the moment I saw the apartment that this is where I wanted to live at. For a 1 bedroom apartment there is actually a lot of room. The apartments are not perfect and are certainly not new, but the management takes great pride in making improvements. The maintenance staff responds very timely whenever I need them. I just started my 3rd year here and have no plans of moving anytime soon. I truly enjoy interacting with the staff as well that are always willing to listen and do what they can to help. I'm pretty impressed with the property here. *****UPDATE July 2014***** I'm at the end of the 3rd year renting here. I can no longer say I would recommend this property to anyone. In this last year the upkeep of the facility has been horrible. The complex manager who recently left (was the 3rd while I've been here) was very shady and unprofessional. The office staff otherwise has been just okay though they have all quit or are quitting. The maintenance staff is another story. I do not trust them and they half --- everything. Example of this would be when it came time for filters to be changed and smoke alarms batteries to be replaced/checked. I have a table in front of where the furnace is at. It would have taken 5 seconds for me to move it. Instead they just handed me a filter and said for me to do it and oh check the alarms too. Seriously? This is what passes for maintenance. LAZY!!!!!!!!! My AC went out in June... I was without AC for 2 days and only got them to fix it because I kept calling the office wanting to know what was going on. They do not communicate. Don't try to email the office or leave a voicemail. Noone reads them or listens to the voicemails. They claim they never got the message. I ran into an incident this month (July) where I was receiving assistance to pay my rent. YAY! I paid my part by money order on 7/5/14 iao $325.00 and personally handed it to office staff. It is now 7/23/14 and has yet to be entered on my account. The other part being paid for me by a company was not sent out until the 16th. I communicated with the staff the entire time what was going on. They still charge me $60 late fee on the 7/6 and $5 everyday since then. Today they just supposedly received the other part of my rent from the company paying it iao $310.00. This past monday they filed with the court for eviction. So they also added court cost to my account. As of today 7/23/14 they have added an additional $301 total in late fees and court costs and still accruing late fees $5 for every day there is a balance on my account. Without a doubt I will not be renewing my lease with this complex. Keep in mind during this process a representative call the office and let them know what was going on as well. The 1st time they called noone answered. They left a voicemail... which the office claims they never received. The rep sent an email to me with exactly what she left on the voicemail. The rep then called again and let them know and sent me the cancelled check showing the dates and amounts. HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE NOW! Now they are also stating the original money order I gave them was not for $325. Thankfully I kept the stub from the money order. I have lived her for 3 years and have never had one issue. The first time I have any kind of issue they want to screw me over. *****UPDATE***** After another meeting with the staff here we have come to an understanding of the situation. I do recognize the office was not responsible for the check getting there so late and I do not place the blame on them for that. My disappointment comes from the fact of being a good long time tenant that keeps in communication that was treated like someone who could careless and is constantly late with rent. I respect the companies policies but treating people like human beings and showing some sort of compassion in situations would be nice. I will say after meeting with the NEW MANAGER of the complex I am pleased at how she and her staff handled this. When things like this happen it is all too easy to fly off the handle about every little detail. This was about the money but at the same time the treatment being received. KUDOS to the New manager and her staff for taking time to listen.
