Resident 2013 - 2015

5/7/2015

I currently love here much to my dismay. I have had a lot of problems with this place for numerous reason. My ac went out in the living room(the main one the other is in the back bedroom), and I asked the manager for another ac. This was April, I was told that a few people needed them and they were being ordered. I asked a few weeks later about the status and they were still coming. I had not yet received another wall unit by July and filled out an online work order. I asked again as it was summer and it was needed. I was told that not enough had been ordered and now all it needed was a part. So a maintenance guy came over and said it was in need of replacing the whole unit. It was September when the wall unit showed up, with another apartment number written on it. I live on the third floor to have laundry room access without having to go up and down stairs as my husband has a bad knee. Well the washer coin slot jammed all the time and had to be slammed in and out multiple times to go, then the dryer went out. Well I had to then go up and down 3 flights of stairs but at least I didnt have to leave the building....yet. The dryer then went out and it took 2 dryer loads to dry 1 load from the washer AND 3 flights of step. Another building got a new set so off to another building and 3 flights of steps after working 10 hours and walking 10+miles a day. Yeeehaw. I made a request back in February as my lease was due for renewal. The lady asked if getting this fixed was contingent upon me signing another lease to let my rent go up another $20. Trying to be nice I asked if she knew when it would be fixed and she said they are waiting on GE. That was 3 months ago..... Everyone loves to have friends over, I dont mind. I do mind when I have to park around the corner and another building away from.where I live because the parking lot is full at 5:30 am. There is suppose to be a towing service to keep this under control, yeah what a joke, they are trying to figure it out, as we speak. This is an every night thing, not once or twice every now and again, all the time. The last thing I want to do when Im exhausted after work is park 100 feet away then conquer 3 flights of steps when rent is over $600 a month. Recently I got a notice on my door, as did everyone, to remember there is nothing allowed on the porches/balconies except outdoor furniture and any grills needed to be removed along with everything else that violates the lease or they will fine you. And while walking around the person also noticed broken blinds that need to be replaced yourself or pay (Im not kidding) $90 per blind. My garbage disposal also did not work to the point it was actually causing the dishwasher to leak out the back end of the counter and MOLD grew UP the wall. I have a child and pets, thats gross. So pictures were taken and I was told I needed to wash it off with bleach water before it could be spray painted over. Under the sink has concaved from.the same leak and its still there. Oh and one last thing. If any lights go out, even the flourescent ones in the kitchen, YOU are responsible for changing and buying replacements. Ive lived in a few apartments, Ive never had to change a flourescent light, the office always had some stored and the maintenance person would change it so they know it was done right, now I got it. You better bring a lamp for the living room, theres no light.
