There's a reason this complex never has any vacant units. Gateway Crossing is a great place to live, and I would recommend it to anyone. The apartments are nice and somewhat modern. The community is clean, quiet, friendly and safe. The location is great. McCordsville is pretty quiet and laid back, but it's not far from all kinds of things to do. The rent is fair, and their annual increases are more than reasonable. Some places try to hit you for huge increases once they have you there. Gateway Crossing has minor increases, but nothing that would make me consider moving. Maintenance is always on top of things, and they're friendly to deal with. If I had a complaint, it's that the HVAC systems seem to be connected within a building. So cigarette smoke travels through the vents. But you'd have to be pretty sensitive to it to notice or have a problem with it. As far as management goes, having lived in a handful of apartment complexes around the Indy metro area, I can say without a doubt Gateway Crossing management has been hands down the best to work with. Laura and Brandi go above and beyond to accommodate residents. Whenever you have issues, they listen and take an active interest in resolving them. They never just pay you lip service or blow you off. They're always willing to work with you and be flexible, which is so refreshing. Their communication is great. They always let you know what's going on with texts and emails. More that anything, they're both just genuinely warm, friendly people. They always look you in the eye, smile when they see you, and refer to you by name. I've never had that experience with apartment management, other than the previous management at Gateway Crossing (yes, Hannah and Arielle were also amazing, and I was sad to see them leave, but they found excellent replacements). Management can make or break an apartment community, and these two ladies are awesome. They take pride in the community, and it shows. I'm going to miss Gateway Crossing. I truly loved living there. I was proud to call it home. If I'm ever back in the market for an apartment, Gateway Crossing will be the first place I call.
