Since moving here in September 2015, we have had a major plumbing issue every single month of our stay. First, we had our ceiling pour water down in the bedroom and the next day it had sunk in and became soft. Workers were in here for two days and left dust all over everything. Next, a sub pump in the laundry room exploded which somehow lead to our closet flooding and ruining our personal belongings. Our next issue was our kitchen. We came home to find the sink overflowing with what smelled like sewage and looked like vomit. After calling EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE, we were told no one would be coming until the next day. No one showed up the next day and they claimed it was due to our 18 pound dog scaring the maintenance man. FYI- an occupant was home, no one ever came, and maintenance had been in here with the very friendly dog a number of times. It took 6 days from the day we called to get someone in here. Three more days and they finally started bringing in plumbers to see what the issue was. The first team of plumbers told them that the plumbing needs to be completely redone- from the kitchen all the way to the living room. Broadmoor declined this company's bid and brought in another plumber. This man was so incompetent that he broke his rod off in the pipe and then left without saying anything. In the pictures attached below you can see what our kitchen looked like. We had to live like this for 3 weeks. Our entire unit smelled like sewage and the hole that the plumber left in our floor filled up with water every time anyone in the building used their water. This was for two days. The office gave us their shop vac and we had to stay up all night, emptying water about every hour. At this point we had enough. We complained to Brandi, the property manager and she was not helpful at all. She assured us that our kitchen would be done in a week and then wasn't in her office for a week. In all, our kitchen remained unusable- all cabinets, sink, and oven torn out, for the majority of December. When we came up to a few days before Christmas we told her that we had family coming from out of town and she told us there was nothing she could do. She gave us keys to an empty unit across the complex and told us we could cook there and sleep on the floor if we wanted to. We asked if we could switch to this unit since ours has had so many problems and she assured us that wasn't possible without paying a whole new set of fees. Finally, despite her trying to block us from speaking to corporate the entire time all of this was going on- we got through. Corporate came out to see what had been done and saw that the job was not complete, there was a huge hole from the cabinets to the floor which reeked of sewage, under the sink was leaking all over our stuff, and part of the kitchen floor was missing. Corporate assured us that we could move to a new unit or get new cabinets. When we went to the office to ask Brandi about the unit, she told us she rented it out already. She then told her boss that we had implied we wanted new cabinets. This was not the case by any means. We are outraged at how we have been treated here. We have since sent corporate multiple emails and placed multiple calls and they are blatantly ignoring us. To add insult to injury, last week the bathroom started pouring down water from the ceiling. Emergency maintenance took THREE HOURS to get here. During this time the leak spread to the bedroom and the ceiling began to bubble and get soft. When maintenance got here, he told us that the office had been calling his personal phone and not his on call phone or he would of been here sooner. He also informed us that any longer and the ceiling could of caved in. This was because the person above us left their home with their toilet overflowing so it is not Broadmoor's fault. However, the incompetence by the office in calling his personal phone instead of his on call phone- is their fault. Our latest issue is that our bathroom sink is overflowing during the night and covering our floor in disgusting water. We cannot get in touch with anyone. We are so fed up. I do not recommend this community to ANYONE! Besides our problems- the walls are paper thin, you can hear the person in the unit next to you clear as day. If you are on the first floor, expect plumbing issues. The buildings are built on hills and the foundation is concrete which has many cracks due to age. You can also hear the people above you so much that it sounds like there are circus animals playing above your head. This is the worst place I have ever lived in my entire life. Spare yourself the headache, save the money, and find a better community.
