Before we even moved in, we kept telling the staff the date we wanted to move in and they consistently had put down a date later. I guess they wanted us to be homeless for a few days. Then on move in day, after being promised a ground floor unit, we moved into our second floor unit. The one below us remained empty. The maintenance men "fixed" our toilet that constantly ran within the first month. It was never actually fixed, and the maintenance men are so rude that we decided to live with it. When we signed our lease for our second year one of the women in the office had said that we could live there for part of a month and pay a prorated fee. This was so I didn't have to move out during finals and graduation and whatnot, but when we went in at the end of our lease they had decided that deal no longer was valid. I know that I should have gotten it in writing, so I guess my mistake for thinking they would be honest. We ended up getting mad and Mike made us sit down in his office while he threw out meaningless legal jargon. We mentioned that we had read that this happened to someone else, he turned red and flipped out and called that guy a loser. In the end, I just said we'd move out earlier than we had planned so they wouldn't get any money for that month, and suddenly Mike wanted to make deals. Not in writing of course. The office staff gossips about residents and are generally rude. Clearly the reviews show that they seem to be good for older people, just not students. Mike likes to screw over students by bringing up irrelevant laws and terms. They are all nice until you sign your name on the lease.
