Resident 2008 - 2010

8/1/2010

It is all according to what you are looking for

My experience at University Estates was a unique one. I started living there in 2008 when my lease was up from a house that I was renting the year before. I was satisfied with the pool, tanning, and computer lab over all. And the weight room was a top commodity. This is because all of the people that live there that are in the "click" are in top shape I mean the whole deal fake tan, ab muscles, and beer gut. I have to be honest this apartment is not the worst but by far is not the best if you are looking for quality, comfort, and top customer service from those who work in the office. Now when I say this i am not saying that people in the office don't care because they do but they are not the fastest when it comes to responding to a clog, broken pipe, ect. When I lived there in 2008 my apartment flooded and I was not very pleased now this was not UE's fault a person should always have renter's insurance and I did but they did not replace the carpets right away and used other un-effective methods when it came to "cleaning up the mess". Because of this the apartment building has had water bugs even to date (2010). Overall; if you are looking for: -People who are gym rats -average custodial and on staff service -moderate care and concern -overall impressive: Gym Laundry facilities (In apartment) free tan Vollyball On to the negetive--- -University estates has bad furniture that is made for subsidy apartments - the apartment is next to low income housing and they get in the pool - roommates are random if you do not choose them and the personality test is a joke - bills are on a individual basis and if you are the one who put your name on the bill then you are responsible to collect all other portions of the bill from the remaining roommates. If roommates do not pay UE will tell you that it is basically your problem. (IE: Small Claims) That is why my final word is UE is a 6/10 if you are a college student then it is ok. Just be ready to have co-habitation problems with roommates. I just do not like living with people in a open-community living situation in each apartment. when I say that I mean having food, dishes, and living room open to 3 other people you may not even know. This is not a place you want to live long term. The apartments are a random bag sometimes they are average, sometimes they are clean if the person before you cleans them themselves, but sometimes like the last apartment I had it was dirty, torn up, and I had to have "UE" clean it up before I could even move in "On move in day" sad YES. So that's my call im kind of in the middle. If you like looking at hot men walking around however half naked on the campus though you may not find the negatives to be that bad. your call
