Stafford Pointe Apartments.....WORST place ever!!!!!!!!! I warn you- do not live here!!!!!!! Listed below are just a few reasons why: 1. After moving in we noticed a skin rash a few days later...it was diagnosed as scabies by my dermatologist. He asked where I lived and I told him Stafford Pointe Apartments, he wasn't surprised! 2. Not a safe place to live- there was an incident recently where a stabbing took place. 3. A registered SEX OFFENDER lives near the children's playground. 4. "dumpster divers" continually go through trash blocking access to road. 5. Lack of parking places. You are forced to park elsewhere and walk a far distance. 6. Maintenance personnel are under qualified and under funded. They do not return phone calls in a timely manner and there were many times when they never showed up at all. My furnace went out on a Friday, maintenance didn't show up till Monday. The dishwasher never worked correctly. Drains clogged up easily. The water is bad, yellow in color. 7. Smoke smell comes up through the plumbing if u live on the upper floor. 8. Cheaply made closets doors. The slider door mechanisms were always breaking off making them impossible to use. 9. The office staff, particularly Susan Cornwell (property manager) could care less about their customers. She is very unfriendly, unprofessional and arrogant. It has come to my conclusion that she must make a percentage of charging wrongful late charges. Susan tried to charge me 5 times for late fees even though my check cleared before the date the charges were added. 10. Stafford Pointe policy is...you pay for repairs even if it wasn't your fault! YES, I had a water heater that burst and leaked causing damage to the apartment below me. I was forced to pay $215.00 for repairs or I was going to be evicted. I had a plumber come to my apartment to investigate, come to find out the water heater was so old and rusty it should have been replaced plus it was installed without a drip pan. I was so upset over the charges that I contacted Randy Escue, the owner of Stafford Pointe Apartments. After many attempts Randy finally returned my phone call. I found out quickly that he could care less and what Susan says goes. Sad, very sad. In conclusion, I would just like to say... please don't make the same mistake I made. I have never written a comment on a business before and I feel so much better doing so!
