This complex has been sold since I moved in. The initial owners were on top of things and I enjoyed living here. The new owners seem to have little regard for the living conditions of the residents and seem unconcerned with the issues the complex has. They fired the landscaping company that would come once a week and replaced it with an old, only partially working riding lawnmower that takes whomever they get to mow about a week (sometimes more) to mow the entire property. Most times, the grass is *well* above my ankles and weeds are rampant before they begin to mow again. We have gone through a couple of maintenance personnel - the most recent one quit and has not been replaced. The owners show no interest in maintaining the property and the office staff has resorted to asking some of the friendly residents to "help out" by tearing out old carpet, painting, installing light fixtures, etc. in newly empty apartments, and occasionally mowing the grass, etc. I really can't say I blame the office staff for any of this - they seem to be trying to make the best of a bad situation. The owners are constantly attempting to manipulate the tenants by posting notices such as: they will no longer accept checks because too many bounce (that notice was removed within days); they will no longer accept cash as payment for rent; and they have terminated the agreement with the water utility billing service for the so we should add $15 to our rent each month since we will no longer be billed by the company we signed a contract to be billed by. If you want to live somewhere that is well cared for by the landlord, this is absolutely NOT the place.
