Resident 2006 - 2009

Can't wait to move

The property has gone downhill in the few years I've lived here, and I can't wait to move when my lease is up in late spring. People let dogs bark at all hours of the night, parking depends on the whims of your neighbors, and snow removal is barely adequate. The office lady isn't very friendly, and she doesn't follow up on complaints after the initial contact with the problem person or people. Rent goes up too much each year, and there isn't really much to show for it. Graffity will show up from time to time, and it takes them a while to get rid of it. There has been some vandalism around the property, too, and residents aren't notified about any police raids or arrests on the property. There is no community newsletter or anything anymore since the new woman started at the office a while ago, and it's like we don't mean anything. They've entered my unit before without notice for stupid things, and we don't have carbon monoxide detectors, which I think is illegal. It was nice to have a washer and dryer in my own unit, but it's not worth paying $30 more a month each time I renew my lease. Townhomes are better than apartments, but if you have crappy neighbors, give up for nothing will be done. I'll probably look for something in South Bend, so it's cheaper and closer to work.
