I'm actually looking at reviews for other apartments, and after reading a few bad reviews here, I'm begining to think some people just don't like anything.
We loved it at Castle Point when I was a student at ND. Parking was a a bit sparse, but there were plenty of covered spaces if you wanted to rent them. We have not been there for a few years, but I cannot imagine things getting worse, esp. if they are making improvements. I cannot think of any other bad things to say about the place--the clubhouse was cool,(do they still have the indoor tennis courts?) and the staff were nice and helpful most of the time. Of the several places I've rented, this was the nicest place of all, and I actually miss it now, I'm looking for a place in the DC area and crappy studios start rent at $800, no utilities, and I'm depressed...
Alternatively, you could probably buy a house in that area for a few hundred more a month...I've no idea what the market is like in South Bend right now.
