Resident 2011 - 2013

3/29/2013

I have lived here for almost 2 years now and will be moving when my lease is up. The first year I lived here I was generally satisfied. The layout of the 3 bedroom is spacious and it has a nice kitchen. It's in a very safe part of town that's convenient to grocery stores and parks. The staff is indifferent, but that was fine because I didn't have any problems. However, in the past year my building has filled up with normal-volume people and it's become all too obvious that you need perfectly quiet neighbors in order to experience any peace here. The buildings are wood frame, and you can hear *every *single *thing that goes on below or next to you. That includes crying babies, moderate volume music, sex, arguments, and even just regular-volume conversations. You will know more about your neighbors than you ever needed to know. You will dread having to get up at night because your footsteps will wake the baby below you. You'll dread weekends because your neighbors have friends over and you feel guilty hearing all their conversations. You'll find yourself judging the parenting styles of people you've never actually met! Save yourself the trouble and rent a house in Terre Haute; you can find something decent for around $600 a month, which is cheaper than a large VQ apartment.
