Lived here for a year. I firmly believe the ratings and post that speak well are friends of management or management specifically. The electric bill averages about 350 in the winter. Yes. Atrocious. Insulation is poor and windows are highly drafty. You can hear it. Because of the location if the apartment, it will always be really cold in the winter or over 80 degrees in the summer with the air conditioning set down to 60/65. The middle of the day was brutal, as most often it was hotter in the apartment than outside. Even well into the evening. I keep lights off during the day and rarely, and I mean very rarely do I turn the t.v. on. So it was ridiculous to believe a bill could be so much higher than a four bedroom home. The maintenance men are the best thing asfar as staff. They are highly sympathetic to your complaints. But they can only do so much. Their hands are tied. Efficient when it comes to doing jobs, and highly friendly. They do as much as they are allowed. The units are overall tacky. I swear I have filth under my sink from people prior to me. The floor in the kitchen is peeling up and I see spots of "wood" that is where filth collected. Especially near the dish washer. Abundance of rust, and I routinely have to bleach under the sinks where mold collects. No matter how much I scour I'm convinced that it is not a clean environment Stink bugs are in abundance. They thrive here. The hallways are routinely covered in them as well as other insects, like spiders, mayflies etc. Highly ineffective pest control. Instead of treating the roach issue as a whole, they do it case by case. So, if roaches hit apartments they travel to different apts calls and complains, it maybea month before they come back and treat.... unless you complain. Hard. You must be an --- and firm to be taken seriously. Or the management will have an attitude. Yes, they do not have a shortage of attitude. Managers significant other is highly offensive. The way she yells at me made me feel offended. Very quick to accuse the residence for the work order and slowly to fix the issues... Then your woman and kids. I will make sure im fullyclothed at the pool. Which is closed often, due to issues or only opened when the Manager and her snobby side kick tend to have family gathering at the pool.. eat and drink pop inside the fence ( and drink while in the pool) there grand kid even throw sand in the pool which of course made them close it for 5 days to be "cleaned out" yet the sand was there when they reopened it just in time for there next family get together.. manager says that is one of the perks of working here is o have parties at the pool whenever she chooses... another "perk" to the job is using there dumpsters and having her husband say very offensive remarks to the female residence... saving them money on there garbage bill yet filling the dumpsters so the residence have to but there trash on the ground by the dumpsters! Pet deposit is non refundable. I appreciate a community that has pets. "Doesn't matter the size of the dog and pet friendly", is a lie! they have 2 pages front and back of breeds that are not allowed there. and opening your windows on a nice day is not recommended... all you will smell is dog pee AND poop! Parking is terrible. Neighbors will take up two parking spots or more. Like thanks. Cuz I enjoy walking halfway across the parking lot to my apartment. In the dark. At night. Telling the manager this issue will result on you being yelled at and asked what would you like me do so about this.. um your job would be nice for once! Do not use the washers....unless you like getting clothes stolen. Besides, your stuff will never come out clean. Ever! Snow removal is decent...I suppose its better or worse in other places.....by far, I have spoken with neighbors and all have agreed, worst apartments they have ever lived in....rent is too high. Your rent will be raised 10.00 or more each year for maintenance fees and "tax" increases yet things never get fixed! I knew a lady who reported having mold in her bathroom and 6 mouths later they still did not come to address the issue.. instead her poor daughters health issues became to much for her and had to break the lease due to the fact her daughter was highly allergic to mold... the office turned around and said it was mildew... the poor lady was denied her deposit AND forced to pay for the repairs of the damage from the mold she reported about while living there.
