Hills-Aberdeen Luxury Apartment Homes

These apartments are some of the nicer ones in the area, I'll give them that. But they are poorly constructed. The insulation was a huge issue. It was ungodly hot in the summer and so cold in the winter that I was confined to my bedroom with a space heater most of the time. The heating in the apartment could not catch up and warm the actual apartment because of the poor insulation. The giant 5 foot icicles hanging from the roof at the time was proof there was an insulation problem. Another issue was our foyer area inside and garage flooded with water whenever it rained. Because of that the walls show water damage. The dishwasher worked extremely poorly, but this may have been because of the hard water. Also, the hot water did not last long. At times when I showered first thing in the morning before work there would be no hot water at all. Aside from the place being poorly constructed, aesthetically its not the greatest. Everything is white except for the carpet. The kitchen cabinets, appliances, all the doors, bathroom cabinets, blinds are all white. You're allowed to paint but if you choose not to it feels a lot less welcoming. The parking is awful. Having even one guest over is a hassle because they have a hard time finding a parking spot. They keep up with plowing the parking lot during the winter, but they plow at 3am and it was so loud I couldn't sleep at times. Not only that but the parking lot is so small that they constantly have to plow the snow in a way that barricades some of the cars. The staff in the office was always extremely friendly to me, but whenever I spoke with the property manager she was extremely rude and belittling. I also thought it was odd that if you have a room mate they have you sign 2 separate leases and they do not have you sign each other's lease. The best thing about the apartments is that they are in a quiet area that is tucked away in a subdivision/golf course. Other than that I was not impressed with my experience living there and decided after one year to not renew my lease.
