The good: The apartments are decently large. There were three of us living in a two bedroom unit using the large basement for storage and occasional beer pong. There were also washer and dryer hookups down there. We never had problems with space or feeling like we were in each other's way. It's within walking distance to campus, though it's a bit tedious and I preferred biking or taking the bus. The bad: The walls are paper thin. Unfortunately my neighbor had squeaky bedsprings and it was all too audible at night. People there are generally quiet, which is good, because you can hear everything when they're not. Everything is old and poorly maintained. Our heater broke and they had to special order parts. They did provide us with space heaters for the couple of weeks it took, but it still wasn't efficient and we ended up with $300 electric bills every month this winter with the heat left on 60-65, depending if anyone was home. Something went wrong between our plumbing and the apartment we shared plumbing with and it took almost two months to fix properly. They came out to look at our bathroom floor once and said it needed to be replaced. That was about 6 months ago and it still hasn't been done. They did say our place was next up to be remodeled, though. There is carpet in the kitchen and the halfbath connected to the kitchen. This was just bizarre and the unit we toured before moving in did not have carpet in the kitchen. I'd still recommend this place for the price, size, and location. You should just know what you're getting into before you move in.
