I also had an issue where my automatic payment did not go through, and was ultimately charged $100 late fee for not paying within the grace period. Even though I have always paid my rent on time, they told me "this is a business." I was also falsely accused of talking with the account manager using foul language with her, even though I had not spoken with her. I believe this led the account manager to not consider funding my late fee, even though I didn't use foul language. I tried various times to get a hold of the leasing office before I was charged but was often redirected to a different office without the issue being resolved.
I would not recommend living here.
