In the three years I lived in this complex, the overall quality steadily decreased. The positive aspects of Pine Manor are the fairly reasonable price and the existence of a field behind the building that is good for dog-owners. However, on top of the non-refundable pet deposit, there is a monthly 'pet fee' which is maddening. Getting to campus via the bus is easy, with a bus stop across the street. With a population of mainly college students, the noise level was not bad.

However, even with the perpetual turnover in staff, there always seems to be a surly person in the office or on the phone. Building maintenance got progressively worse over the past three years, with previously friendly, dependable staff replaced by workers who seem a little shady and reluctant to fix anything. When I moved out, there was a piece of sheet metal hanging from the roof over a doorway that had been there for at least two months. This building has roaches also. The water heater (located under the kitchen counter) was barely adequate for one person's hot shower. Beware of basement apartments. At least twice, apartments in the basement were flooded and the tenants were moved to units on higher floors.
