This is my first apartment rental in over 10 years, I owned my own home in Illinois for the past 10 years and moved to this complex in March 2015. I have nothing but good things to say about this place and the management. It seems pretty obvious this complex has new management because reading through the older reviews, this is NOT the experience that we are currently having. We love living here and have a very nice 3 bedroom/3 bathroom unit at the back end of the complex. Our patio overlooks a large grassy area face the 200N road. The apartment has brand new carpeting, countertops and a brand new fridge that we got shortly after moving in. Maintenence always responds to calls very quickly and they have fixed anything that went wrong without any problems. The dishwasher seems a bit old and still doesn't really dry very well on the top rack and it's probably due to be replaced soon, but othwerwise we have had no problems at all with out apartment. When we first moved in one of the 3 bathrooms had an issue with the toilet constantly getting backed up and the management got a contractor out to figure out what was wrong. Apparently the renters before us must have had children as they pulled out several items that had been flushed down the toilet. It has been fixed and now there are no problems at all. The management staff, Brittany and Tricia are so nice and friendly. We have renewed our lease and are very happy here. The complex is quiet where we are located and we do not hear much in the way of noise even from the neighbors above us. We did have very loud noisy neighbors above us when we first moved in, they were horrible, sounded like they were beating their children all the time, however they moved out and now the people above us are very quiet. The complex is very dog/pet friendly and there is no monthly pet rent just a one time pet deposit of $150 per dog. There is a 2 pet limit. The complex has poop bag stations set up around the complex if you don't happen to have your own bags when walking your dogs. We love the full size in unit washer/dryer combo and love the fact that we have our own hot water heater and self controlled heat/AC. It feels like more of a townhouse than an actual apartment since the unit is so large at almost 1,450 square feet for a 3 bed/3 bath place. Another unique factor is they allow you to paint the apartment whatever colors you want, you just have to pay for it yourself, then when you move out have it painted back to the basic white. Not too many apartment complexes will allow you to paint the apartment and who wants to live in a place that requires you to keep all the walls that boring apartment white color. It feels more like a home when you are allowed to paint the colors you want. We really have no complaints at all about the complex. It's quiet and very affordable for us. We are probably going to be moving out of state next year and will end up leaving for job advancement but if we were going to stay in the area we would continue to rent here long term. The first 2 buildings closest to the leasing office are for the students at Purdue University across the street from the complex and the rest of the buildings are for the general population. We never hear any loud parties at all and we rarely see any of the college students. The rent is cheap for us as we are used to Chicago rental prices so what we are paying here for rent is a steal for us based on what we would be paying for such a nice apartment in the Chicago area.
